Thoughts on Calling A Spade A Spade by Cam

with one comment

A couple of years ago, the Adelaide media managed to spin a police taskforce dealing with 49 loosely associated juvenile Indigenous offenders into an out-of-control crime gang.

According to South Australian Attorney-General Michael Atkinson, members of the “Gang Of 49″ are “pure evil” and literally beyond redemption. Some might say that an inability for the South Australian legal system to rehabilitate recidivist offenders might indicate some sort of failure on Atkinson’s part.

Others might say something else:

First Blackface, now this. Could it be that the public has tired of boorish modern racism, leaving room for classical racism to make a much-deserved comeback?

One can only hope.

  1. It’s good to see someone calling a spade a spade, “whether or not his comments are just”?

So…even if what he says is untrue, it’s good that he’s finally telling it how it is?
